The web-accessible data management system for Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) research is a pivotal component of our project. It is designed to enhance collaboration and data utilization in RA research. This innovative system streamlines the organization, storage, and distribution of crucial RA data, while ensuring user-friendliness and wide accessibility.
Key features of this system include:
The data stored in the information system for each patient include, but are not limited to, a comprehensive set of fields that are crucial for effective RA management and research. These fields encompass basic demographic information such as Gender, Date of Birth, and Age. Medical history and treatment details are meticulously recorded, including the Year of Diagnosis, whether the patient is currently being monitored, the date of the Last Visit, and specific markers like Rheumatoid Factor (RF), Anti-Cyclic Citrullinated Peptide (A-CCP), and indicators of Fibromyalgia. Previous administrations of steroids, as well as administered DMARDs (Disease-Modifying Antirheumatic Drugs), are tracked, along with the specific Formulations used. The system also notes Extra-articular manifestations, whether the patient is a Smoker, and any Comorbidities. Critical to treatment analysis are data points like Morning stiffness, the Number of joints with arthritis, and key lab results including C-Reactive Protein (CRP), Hemoglobin (Hb), and Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR). Additionally, detailed records of each Therapeutic treatment cycle are maintained, encompassing the Start and End Dates, Reasons for discontinuation, and duration in Months. This comprehensive dataset provides a robust foundation for personalized patient care and advanced RA research.
This data management system is more than a data repository; it's a dynamic tool designed to foster collaboration, enhance research capabilities, and contribute significantly to the progression of RA treatment and patient care.
